At KarachiAds.pk, your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the KarachiAds.pk website and the KarachiAds mobile application for Android (together, "KarachiAds").

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and phone/WhatsApp number when you register or post an ad (including via Google login).
• Ad content: titles, descriptions, prices, photos, and the area/location you select for your ad.
• Usage data: pages visited, searches made, device and browser type, and approximate location — used to improve the site.
• Cookies: we use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and (if enabled) serve relevant ads via third parties like Google AdSense.
• Mobile app: our Android app provides the same KarachiAds service and collects the same information described above. It does not collect additional personal data without your consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display your ads to potential buyers, including your chosen contact options (phone/WhatsApp) on the ad page.
• To operate features like chat, favourites, and your dashboard.
• To detect and prevent spam, fraud, and duplicate ads.
• To improve site performance and search relevance.

3. What Is Public

Important: Any information you include in an ad — including your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, photos, and area — is publicly visible to anyone on the internet and may appear in search engines like Google. Do not include information in your ads that you do not want public.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with: service providers that help us run the site (e.g. hosting, analytics), advertising partners (e.g. Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show personalized ads), and law enforcement when required by Pakistani law.

5. Data Security

Passwords are stored in hashed (encrypted) form. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee 100% security. Never share your account password with anyone.

6. Your Choices, Account Control & Data Deletion

• You can edit or delete your ads anytime from your dashboard.
• You can mark ads as sold to remove them from listings.
• You can update your profile information and change your password anytime from Settings → Manage Account.
• You can delete your account yourself, instantly. Go to Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account in the app or on the website, type DELETE to confirm and enter your password.

What deletion removes. Deleting your account permanently erases your name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, password, Google sign-in connection, profile photo and all saved login sessions. All of your ads are removed from KarachiAds at the same time and are no longer visible to anyone.

What remains. Messages you sent to other users, and reviews you left on other sellers, stay in those users' own records because they form part of their history. They are no longer linked to you in any way — your name and contact details are gone and you appear only as "Deleted User". We also retain an anonymous, deactivated account record that contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify or contact you.

If you cannot sign in. Email us at [email protected] from your registered email address, or use the contact page. We verify every request and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. You do not need to install the app to make this request. Full details are on our Account Deletion page.

7. Children's Privacy

KarachiAds is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the latest version.
